Rain Rain ... Go Away
It rains. no, pours, in silvery sheets The drops drum ceaselessly on my windowpanes The streets washed clean Trees with sparkling. dripping leaves The smell of newly wet sand, the wildly convulsing sea Jasmine blooms, its scent carried far in the breeze This is the season that I used to love best The smells, the sounds, the sights I'd see The strange little quivers my heart would feel The spray from the rains, the roar of the waves Bring me no joy as my mind conjures up memories From all those times that we were together And there was no "you" and "I" .just "we" ~Swati Chandran~
