Leadership Responsibility

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY

Not just an empty word to speak and then no more
It is an obligation of more than one door
Accountability with reason, purpose and intent is what it is for.

If you are a leader you are responsible to those you lead
To protect, provide and keep safe and be sure to feed
This nations declaration of independence is its creed.

A leader is not a god to freely use a nations might
Nor can they insist another pay the ultimate sacrifice
To protect his family or nation is man's sacred right.

Chief's always stood in front of their warrior tribes
Their son's brave and strong stood tall by their side
The example was obvious for the council did decide.

A captain is the ultimate authority only on a plane or boat
Their sole responsibility to keep it flying or stay afloat
A significant purpose a castle moat.

A leader is a person who speaks what is in their mind
Leadership is temporary and only for a very short time
Direction given to those who seek will also find.

Most human acts have reason, purpose and intent
A leaders burden becomes heavy as each child is sent
Each one different yet we all sit under a common tent.

A man is less than a god and certainly not divine
Titles only on loan for a specified period of time
How we use it will be judged when we cross the line.

Change is part of living life and according to a certain time
Lead for the moments and consider every sign
Answers can be found inside the human mind.
