day I just took a pause It
was then, our paths crossed A
stranger gave way to a friend On
whom I could always depend You spread
kindness and happy ways You lifted
spirits and made my days After each
adieu, there was a hello After each
dusk, there was a dawn Indifference
never existed there Care
and concern, even when I was unfair A
mirror for me, to see my whole You
always seemed to be in control You washed
away fears, never gave me a tear No
burden you did let me bear I would
never feel blue Because I
found a friend in you A
friend, philosopher and a guide Right
from the start, in every stride Friends
are chosen though family is not Hence
we choose those who touch a chord Thank
