HOMECOMING...

Dear brother since you've left

Our gazes are nearly numbing

Outstretched arms anticipating

Waiting for your homecoming

You went for a year or so

It has been now more than two

Time is running, parents are aging

My heart is heavy with despair too

Every morning mom wipes your bike

I end up primping your abandoned room

Dad brings your favourite nosh...

Every evening on way to home

Your friends call up once in a while

They hope to meet you face to face

Our treasure is a letter from you

And few memories from past to retrace

Please come back soon, before the dawn

Like those Trogons who return to nest

Because when evenfall knocks the door

Our hopeful hearts lose the zest
