AND THE BAND PLAYED ON.....

The party was over
The guests had gone
The music of band
Replaced by
Cacophony of noises
In the car parking
even they quietened down...
the air was still

SUDDENLY. THE LIGHTS CAME ON..

The band
Started playing all over again
I could see you
Emerge out
On to the dancefloor
Smiling
Letting the music flow on..
I stood mystified
Transfixed to the door

I DID NOT MOVE..
But I must have
Because
You were in my arms
Swaying to the rhythm of music
Or, perhaps
The music was generated
by your steps
because ,all of a sudden
It was still
You made a 360 degree turn
And
Gracefully came up in the air
Into my arms

I WAS SO MOVED..

I kept on moving
Across the floor
With the fluidity of a professional
With equal suddenness
The band came alive
Notes gradually tapered off

The band master bowed
And there was thunderous applause
You were standing besides me
Smiling and bowing
I was doing the same
THE PARTY CAME ALIVE ONCE AGAIN

It was good.I could enjoy
However
There was one thing
I could not fathom
I had come to the party
Alone....
The last thing I remembered
Before all this happened
Was that
I was at bar...

Am I dreaming
Am I drunk
Or
Simply intoxicated by your
Love...
