The Wish
I wish for more time,
For these final moments
To stretch on,
Let every second equal an hour,
And every day measure infinity...
I wish for another meeting,
A similar setting,
Carefree,
Where we can sit together,
Speechless and silent,
For words are often not needed
Between friends...
I wish they find their destiny,
Reach the mark they aim for,
So i can rejoice
In their happiness,
From a distance,
The miles not lessening
The sparkle in their smiles...
I wish it stays the same,
Twenty years later,
I can be the shoulder they lean on,
And their voice is as reassuring,
Soothing,
One word of support
Ridding me of my misery...
I wish my wishes come true,
Time stops,
Bowing to the strength
Of the bond we share,
I wish to wake up
And find it is a dream,
I wish the final hug never comes...
