Shall We Call It A Crush?

Like a teenager with her first crush,

Or a woman mature with her last,

I care not what it is you know

I am just so happy to embrace it at last

Do not say I did not warn you clear

But even a warning will be passé,

For of you I ask nothing my love

All I need I have with me in a cache

If possible deeper I wade in your love

And the warmth of the embers glows,

As we share laughter and some pain

It seems they be from the same source

Across oceans you are and will remain

Lending crimson hues to your world away,

But whenever a ray of yours touches me

Transformed I am in a whole new way

My heart sings a song quietly unsung

As I wander doing my daily chores,

And wrapped firm in the tenderness I feel

I find, have sprouted wings on my soles…
