Seeking a lady's love...

Why doesn't she understand my love?

why doesn’t she realize,

How much I love her,

why doesn't she see it in my eyes?

My feelings remain pent-up deep inside,

I don’t have the courage to voice,

But surely she feels the same,

then why doesn’t she answer the question in my eyes?

I long to say “I love you”,

but instead, I only heave long sighs,

I’d gladly give up my life for her,

why doesn’t she see it in my eyes?

She doesn’t feel the hurt she’s caused me,

she doesn’t know of my unheard cries.

Then how can I manage to tell her,

if she doesn’t see it in my eyes?

These words are but a false hope,

my feelings they do summarize.

Thus, I give vent to my emotions,

sinking into a quagmire, towards my demise,

Maybe I don’t deserve her,

maybe my love story wasn’t meant to be,

For if she had loved me,

the truth in my eyes, she'd surely see.
