Making Moments
Unhesitant, I scooped dollops of cream From mine, to load your overflowing shake As if it were an act most natural for me As stealing a bite from your rice plate
Then you licked clean the straw & spoon That I had rolled over with my lips In that instant your being touched mine As if locked there in an endless grip
Nonchalantly did we ignore these deeds And pretended that what we did was inane But without even glancing at one another we had proclaimed something deeply sane
These instances will remain just that Lived and shared in those wordless glances We did nothing but make moments To embrace in our hearts as fleeting chances
