GOLDEN GIRL

Lives there a girl of golden skin

As lovely as there’s ever been

To whom a heart could ever be

Entwined in thoughts of ecstasy?

A girl whose slender hands of grace

Extenuate her lovely face,

Whose shoulders and lips of love

Shout, “She is the stars above.”

Her elegant form at twilight

Stirs my heart into the night

And sings a sweet low melody

That lives within the heart of me.

Oh, sweet maiden made of bless,

Allow me one more tender kiss

To set this lonely spirit free

To such a lovely girl as thee.

And then some night sail with me

Upon a smooth and gentle sea

Where two hearts might truly find

The love that is of there design.
