Lord!

 why is that you are calm?

 when I am sailing in a storm

Why is that you are silent ?

 when the waves have turned so violent?

I am floating on my tears

and sinking in my fears

Lord! Why you failed to see

my suffering in the sea

I have lost my oars

after a thousand miles from the shores

Lord! will you help me sail

or let me drown and fail

My strength is growing thin

to see the waters pouring in

Lord! my boat has got a hole

will you come and save my soul

I don’t know how far still

I don’t know how I will

Lord! I wish to somehow float

will you save my little boat?

I can see no light

in the midst of the freezing night

Lord! will you take my hand

and make me see my land

or will I  die before

the day I reach my shore
