All I have are pictures of you

With a mesmerizing smile

Lighting up your face

And also my world

 

All I have are memories of you

Where I see again

All those gestures you made

While my heart glowed

 

All I have is the faint sound

Of your mellow voice

As we spoke long into the evening

And I laughed and cried some

 

But I also have that still deep look

Etched indelibly in my mind

When your laughter leaves

And those smiling eyes

Take on a translucent hue

And hear what I am saying

And reflect what you are thinking

As you ponder with care

And their seriousness embraces me

And too becomes mine to hold…
