My name is Anwaar N. Hassan. I was born in Bahrain on July 5th 1962 and spent the first fourteen years of my life there. My early schooling was at Sacred Heart School and convent. I went to Pakistan for further education and stayed there for 8 years. I then moved to California in 1984. I have a bachelor's degree in Economics and am currently a business owner.

I am married and have two wonderful kids (a son - the light of my life, and a daughter - the apple of my eye). The poems "A Father's Vigil and The Missing Child", generated many condolences and sympathies from readers on the web. The poems are based on other people's experiences and not my own (Thank God)

I started writing poetry when I was 17 years old and wrote aggressively for two years. I then stopped writing for almost twenty years until just a few months ago. I have rediscovered my passion for expressing myself in verse. I hope that others will, upon reading my poems, find their own meaning within each line and each verse.
