Around this time last year
On the first day of June
The three of us decided
To reach for the moon.

We started from three corners
With our own poetic buds
The generosity of Siddharth, Vinita and others
Soon, really overwhelmed us.

Raj, Vijay, Bittersweet, Stanley, 
Twilah, Lonely Being, to name but a few
Started sharing their poetry
And the garden sprouted and grew.

Marilyn, Krishna, Madeira, Sujata,
Vikram, Michael, so many more to name
Whose words added colour and brilliance
And Kavitanjali was no longer the same.

Be they Kids or Teens or the Readers
With what they constantly send in
Have brought so much fragrance and cheer
That the visitors are pouring in.

Every poem here enhances Kavitanjali
With forms and ideas, enchanting and new
Those whom we have to thank are countless
But space limitations permitted just a few.

It is thanks to Every one of You
This site is growing and overtaking the rest
In just one year it is well on its way
To becoming the very best

If this place has become a paradise
For poets and poetry lovers too
Its not because of the three of us
But due to the inspiring words from You

We can talk all day about your generosity
And your overwhelming support too
But will stop for now, saying, "We are overjoyed
And humbly Thank You"
