Hui mujhse kitni naadani

Ki teri mehfil mein mein aa baithie

Thi mein zameen ki khaakh

Aur aasman se dil laga beithie

It was perhaps my ignorance

Which made me seek a nook in  your world

Though I was just the dust of the earth

 Foolishly I gave my heart to the sky.
