SANJHA
AASMAAN
THE
SHARED SKY
Sada-e-sarhad ne raah dikhayee hai- dosti
kar lo
Band jharokhe kholo- noor aayee hai- roshni bhar lo
Aankhen band kar lene se, khatm hote hain kya vajood kahin?
Chaahe yaarana ho ya ho adaawat- magar ek rishta hai to sahi
Behtar hai ki aankhen khol kar- ek doosre ko taul hi lein hum
Dil mein yun shak na rakhen- shikve- gile sab khol hi lein hum
Ranjishon ko doorkar- insaaniyat ki raah par
Hum milein phir se gale- karwaahton ko paar kar
Hindu hon ya hon mussalman- khayee pat jaati hai jab
Kisi masoom bachhi ko, nayaa janam milta hai tab
Aao -mil kar dua maangein- allah se aur ram se
Dahsaton aur nafraton ke saaye chhatein ab, saanjhe aasmaan se
The bus Sarhad-e-Hind (meaning voice from across border) has paved the
way-
let's be friends.
It is time to open up the closed windows- Noor- (the little girl, literal
meaning- light) has brought with her warmth and glow- bask in it.
Is it possible to negate other's existence by ignoring it?
Whether it is friendship or quarrel-a relation does exist between us.
It will be better to abandon ignoring each other-rather we should regard
each other cautiously- open-eyed and judiciously. It will be better to
open
up- bring into open all our grievances and misgivings and have them sorted
out.
Thus, after clearing the air- and burying the past- we should embrace once
again- and hope for the best.
It really does not matter whether one is Hindu or Muslim.
What really matters is that life -(presently that of the little girl
Noor)
can be saved through peace.
