Yeh shikayat hai ki ham tumhaari taareef
Nahin karte
Aur yeh bhi sahee hai ki
Na sahee sachchee tareef
To kam se kam
Jhoonthee taareef hi Kar di jaaye………..

Agar main yeh kahoon
Ki tumhaara chehra
chaand ki tarah khoobsoorat hai
to jhoonth hi hoga
kyun ki chaand ka noor to khud
sooraj se udhaar maanga hua hai
jabki tumhaare chehre par
chhaya noor ek intihaee
khoobsoorat khwab ki manind hai……….

Agar yeh kahoon
Ki tumne mizaz kutchh aisa paaya hai
Ki armaan
khud-ba-khud machalnein lagte hain
to bhi jhoonth hoga
kyunki tumhaari saadgee mein
kutchh aisee qashish hai
ki bahaaron ki hazaron shokhiyan
qurbaan ho jaayein

yaa phir yeh kahoon
ki tumhaari aankhen yaad dilaatee hain
‘mai’ ke pyaalon ki
to bhi jhoonth hoga
kyunki ‘mai’ ke pyaale to do ghoonth
peene ke baad hi kam ho jaate hain
lekin tumhaaree aankhon mein jo pyaar
ka labrez jaam piya hai maine
woh jitnaa peeta hoon
utnaa hi bhartaa jaata hai
utna hi purasar hota chala jaata hai

You have often complained
That I do not eulogise you
And this is also logical
That if the praise is not true
At least false praise can be made……….

If I were to say that
Your face is as beautiful as Moon
It won’t be true
Because the radiance of moon
Is borrowed from Sun
But the radiance on your face
Is as bright as reflection
Of most beautiful dream

If I were to say that
That you have such disposition
That desires flow out as a torrent
It again would not be true
because in your simplicity
Is so much of charm
That thousand charms of spring can be
Sacrificed…………….

Or if I were to say
That your eyes remind me of
Glasses of drink….it
Will not be true
Because
Glasses of drinks have their level
Falling down after a few sips
But the overflowing liquor of love
That I sipped from your eyes
Keeps filling up
Getting more and more intoxicating………………
