Ab kisi ka intezaar nahi

ek antheen maatam, ek khaalipan

dil...jaise ranbhumi jang ke baad...

yahan shav bichay hain yaadon ke

duur duur tak goonjta sannaata

usmein khaamosh kuch siskiyaan

paas paas kaee saaye

dhundlay say... puraanay chehron ke

 

ek aah jamm kar reh gaee hai honton par

ankhon mein hee aansoo sookh gaye

 

saari duniya jaise is khaalipan mein simat kar

ek shoonya bann ke reh gaee hai

ek shoonya ...bas...

Now there is no waiting

just  endless grief...emptiness

this heart is like a warfront after a war

corpses of old memories lie here

silence echoes far into the distance

and silent sobs therein

close to me are shadows

blurred ones of old faces

 

a sigh frozen on my lips

tears dried up in my eyes

 

the whole world seems to have shrunk into this emptiness

this nothingness

there is nothing else
