Din ke ujaale mein, yeh shaam ki jhalak kaisai hai chaayee

Abhi abhi toe yahan sawera thaa, yeh saanjh kahan se ayee

 

Aass paas baithe hai jo yeh loge, unhe ujaala nasseb hai

To hamne kya gunha kiya hai batao, ki andhera kareeb hai

 

Iss subah aur shaam ki uljhan mein aise phasai jaate hai hum

Gar suraj na tha nasseb hamare, chand ko toe dekh paatai hum

 

Aisaa aalam hai chaaya ae doston, ki aankhe khuli hai per bandh

Jevan key yeh kuch din hai baaki, jo gujar jaye, woh he bus hai kamm

 

 

In the bright glow of daylight, from whence has this shadow of night crept in

Just moments ago, dawn filled this place, how then has dusk overtaken it

 

To those blessed who surround me, their destiny brings blissful light
