BRAIN DRAIN

 

Let us strain our cerebral vein

and lay our thoughts on brain drain.

Skilled professionals looking for gigantic gains,

no way can they disdain.

Diaspora, but our politicians seem aloof,

can't stop them leaving roots for a roof.

Global gain is India's loss,

but what's the way to keep them home?

If each of us was to wash our hands

Of our role in the fate of our land

Dreaming of how to fill our coffers

Not looking beyond lucrative offers

How will things ever improve

If we grow away from our own roots?

We have to sow back some of what we reap

All we get is not just ours to keep

Sometimes it's not just the dreams of lucrative  offers
of money, materials and the desire to fill our coffers !

It's maybe  to learn more from technology overseas that's new
the infrastructure and information,  which in our country is very few

And it is the need for some others who did very much  try
but did not get any support ,  inspite of their hue and cry !

And yes of course, what they did reap they did sow
by sending back to their country  dollars, pounds and euro !

Is this brain drain , or are we putting people thro a lot of strain
can't the country help people who can help it make a gain ?
