Dream on

A rule book full of dos and don’ts

A mind that’s full of wills and won’ts

A heart that’s full of love unspent

A world that’s full of hatred, vent

Oh for a breath of honest air

And a whiff of true love rare

Swati

They say that love makes the world go around
So let us all join hands, sing a song, make a happy sound
I am sure the world will be a better place
If we forget about religion, or race
After all are we not all the same on the inside
So let us get together, enjoy ourselves, and our lives

Tango

One rarely looks, so seldom sees
Another’s feeble attempt to please;
Thus passes up what may have been
A friendship that would never end.
What’s seen is what the eyes behold
What’s missed is his/her heart of gold.
Until one’s accepted for himself alone
Peaceful existence will remain unknown.

~ Twilah ~

There'll always be someone around
who'll try to bury love aground
maybe it's  cast, religion, land or treasures
or just plain old political pressures
What we should do  is to ignore those few
who tries to make others take up their cue
to fan the passions of evil thoughts
Hey ! let drop this line and talk of love instead ! :)

Mahesh Laxman

If  poetry be the food of love , write on

If dreams be refuge from sorrow , dream on

Everynight I keep two soulful eyes awake in me

Daydreaming of true love and pleasures to be.

Thriving on made- to- order -dreams of you

Editing their sorrow, adding abundant joys  anew.

Again and  again a silly llttle dream I  see

That you TOO ,dream ,a little dream of me.

***   Muse***

Let me be a dreamer today

Clouds of thoughts flying astray

For realities are born of dreams

However uphill it may seem

Break those walls and build the bridges

Undeterred by the oncoming glitches

Dream on, for they will see the light of the day

Somewhere, somehow, someway, someday!

Rakhi

Dreams they come in the dead of night
Some  are nice, others just give  you a fright
At times they seem so alive, and real
You can reach right out, touch, and feel
Suddenly you are wide awake,
with a great big smile on your face
Or else your shaking and sweating with fear,
and in your mouth there is a horrible taste

Tango

Never listen to your dream
Listen to ur heart
After dream is a dream
It just tells u how to start
Rest is up to u
Whatever u do

Dream is nothing but an unconquered star
Dreams make u feel like a king
Like u r a super star
But when you face the truth
The whole world comes crashing down on you
So friends dream on
But dun go to far
Otherwise u will be a falling star

Guneet K Gulati

O seller of dreams on the streets no more

Hawking your paper dreams, door to door

You sold me the moon, you sold me the stars

True love, eternal youth and potions in jars

O seller of dreams  I miss your alluring cries

Come sell me your dreams, quote any darn price.

Muse

A price for a dream you ask of me
alas mortal eyes can all but see
for in my dreams are painted dragons
scorching wheels of gold-digger's wagons
there are wailing cries of prisoners too
and sobbing sighs of sinners in the pew
my dreams are real and of the flesh
realities and mockery of life enmeshed
so think before you talk of buying
many a woman has died trying

Pontius Pilate

Sometimes dreams can be so frightful
As nightmares in the land of the wakeful .
Sometimes dreams bring upon visions
of love, life and ambitions
Sometimes dreams are just dreams
like flickering shadows and moonbeams .
My dreams are so real they soar
On wings of love  causing no uproar .

Agatha Lai

Flitting over a world of war

Dreams of peace seek a portal

To enter the minds of mortals.

To stop the evil in mens' hearts,

To give hope to all, together and apart,

Dreams of hope on golden wings

Fly from the minds

Of many,

Only to break against a silver pane

Of glass betwix the him and her

All because of a difference

In color, race, and religion.

~ Ronnie ~

When dreams are shattered to pieces
When the blaze of fantasy is burnt into ashes
How will the angel of sleep make her way?

The abode of love built with anticipation
The nest of desire woven with passion
Are all swept away with only the dust behind

~ Inchara ~

Dreams are crazy, dreams are wild,

Some too deep & some just mild!

In our li’l hearts, these dreams dwell

& with joy, makes our hearts swell .

Ever wondered, what dreams are made of,

With which substances hard or rough?

Chirping birds with painted wings,
A sumptuous nap on the back of Sphinx,
Living a wonderful, vibrant life
A Christmas cake to cut with a knife,
A journey on the clouds in the sky so blue,
To be lost in the woods without a clue
A litter of puppies licking my face
A long dress of delicate white lace
A pretty butterfly whispering in my ear,
Lots of shiny gift boxes to tear
To speak to the flowers and smile to them,
A crown of wishes studded with a gem
A nice little friend to speak to me,
Lots of beautiful things to see
Stars winking from the night sky,
If things never had to die--
Thousands of chocolates in a trough,
These are what dreams are made of !!

~Sohini~

I know they are illusions,
yet nothing could be more real,
I know they are crazy,
yet they are so honest.

my dream knows no logic,
it recognizes no boundary,
its a free soul which urges me to fly,
it knows no limit and lets me have the entire sky.

funny, that man tries to reason out every mundane affair,
but could he ever lay all the secrets of nature bare?
love, life, death..still remains a mystery
and so does many a dreams
my dreams-
I know they are mystery,
yet they are all mine
I know they are illogical
yet my instincts believe in them.

people say dreams never come true.
I agree- because they already are so true.
