They want me to be loyal

it's ok! I agree

Their problems are the only thing,

 but what about me?

I also have many problems

but they never see

or give a helping hand

to support me, ease me.

 

When they hurt me

they say," We are very sorry."

But have they ever tried to

listen to my side of the story?

 

Sorry is not enough

they must also stay

with me through difficulties

with me whenever I say.

 

They must support me

or give me their shoulders to cry.

They must encourage me & say,

"We know you can do it. Just try."

 

Only if I can get true people

people on whom I can depend.

Who can understand my feelings,

& whom I can call my "True Friends."

 

I'll do just anything for them.

Anything they'll say.

But they must be true to me 

& they must not betray.

 

But true friends are difficult to find

so their fragrance never go.

They are priceless & their value

only a true heart can know.
