SHATTERED  DREAMS

One morning as the dew was aglow,

There was a new life that began to grow.

A little spark whose future was unknown,

He'll soon learn in life he is alone.

A number of dreams he will have,

And some precious memories he will always save...

People will come and people will go,

But never for a moment will time stop or go slow.

So many questions will be left unanswered,

So many desires left unheard...

There'll be good times and bad

Times when he'll be both happy and sad.

People he cares for may leave him,

And then his life will seem very dim.

His anger takes time to subside

And he looks for places to hide...

"Does anyone really care?" he asks,

Is their any friendship  that really lasts?

His faith in life is broken,

So many feelings left unspoken.

He longs for peace, he longs for love,

He longs for the angels to come from above.

"Why was I born?" he asks sadly,

"Why did my parents leave me so gladly?"

He soon begins to loose control,

And does not get a chance to discover his soul.

From everyone he stays away as far as he can,

And soon becomes a heartless man.

There was no one who could soften his heart,

His whole life was torn apart.

He then picks up a gun with haste,

And leaves forever never to show his face.

He has learnt that dreams

Are not always what they seem.
