Kargil War

          It was a beautiful summer day,

               As usual the sun was warm and bright,

But I guess for some people

the day was not so right...

They were our soldiers

A call was given

A call to fight

To show their might.

             Our soldiers were stationed at Kargil,

                 Where people don't go of their own will,

The soldiers were stationed

at such a great height,

   Where even food and drinking

  requirements were not right.

But they without a complaint

fought n' fought,

          Until victory by them was brought,

          But was winning the only criteria??

      There was so much of bloodshed

and killing,

so many people lost...

Oh, what a heavy cost!!!

It was a sad plight

where so many did not have

their loved ones in sight,

They had lost them

           and this loss is incomparable

to any loss...

It was a war where we won

but lost a lot...
