HIDDEN BEAUTY (2)

Not easily realised

But true.

Beauty is not of one,

But of two.

The first is the one

Of those which are alive,

The beauty of those

Which live and thrive.

The beauty of eyes,

The beauty of face,

Even the mesmerizing beauty

Of a serpent's grace.

The elegant beauty

Of an eagle in flight.

The natural beauty

Of an elephant's might.

The colourful beauty

Of a parakeet's bill,

The serene beauty

A nightingale's call might instill.

The beauty of a flower,

The beauty of a tree,

This is the living beauty

One can easily see.

The second is the beauty

Of that which has and will

Never live.

The one which to life

The mind must conspire to give.

The beauty of a

Sheer granite face,

The beauty of a vast open space.

The beauty of sunset,

Over the sea,

The beauty of clouds

Floating free.

The beauty

Of snowfall on a pointed peak,

The beauty of glistening stones,

Being polished in a creek.

The beauty of a musical piece,

Then the beauty

Of Silence, Calm and Peace...
