The person

I am sitting here,
Watching the trees sway,
Seeing the leaves blow,
On this gusty windy day.

In the wind, I feel power,
In the trees, my soul,
To feel this for ever,
Is my only goal.

I long for somebody,
Or something, somehow,
To always feel this way,
The way that I feel now.

The sun shines over me,
Every now and then,
Sometimes covered by the clouds,
Is how it's always been.

The one that I await,
Would be like the sun,
No matter what they say,
He will shine on everyone.

But he would not let those clouds,
Despite their rain and snow,
Cover up his sunshine,
So he couldn't glow.

He'd understand the beauty,
Of body, spirit and mind,
And never ever would he,
Leave anyone behind.

I think and then, I wonder,
Where is he now,
Was I meant to meet him?
Is he taking his last bow?

Will he ever leave this earth?
Is he already gone?
Will I get to question him,
Or to say, “So Long”?

Is this man yet to come,
The one for whom I wait,
Or am I just to sit here,
Is it part of my fate?

Should I look for him,
Should I ask around,
Or should I just stay here,
On the felt-like ground.

Is he even real,
Will he ever show?
And would he even help me,
That, I'll never know.
