A Library Is A Garden

A library is a garden

With books laid out in rows,

Of literature of every kind

Of poetry and prose...

The adventures are the roses

Of danger, fear and joy,

While mysteries are pansies,

They thrill girls and boys,

Non-fiction is the palm tree,

Tall, straight and skyward gazing,

"Forget me not" say the reference books,

They tell you facts amazing!

With every page a petal,

Unfolding to reveal what's beyond,

This garden forms between you and knowledge

A close and intimate bond.
